PLYMOUTH, Minn. – October 24, 2022 – Jim Schultz, Republican candidate for Minnesota Attorney General, released the following statement on the trial decisions of former Minneapolis officers Tou Thao and J. Alexander Kueng.
“These cases and others have been politicized enough, and I will take no part in that. Today marks an important step toward closure following the murder of George Floyd. As a state we must now come together to rebuild trust between law enforcement and communities and to end the violence consuming our state. In this effort we all must lead, setting aside politics and partisan differences, for the good of the people of Minnesota.”
