PLYMOUTH, Minn. – Today the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association (MPPOA), announced their endorsement of Jim Schultz for Minnesota Attorney General. Schultz is seeking the Republican Party’s endorsement to defeat DFL incumbent Keith Ellison.
The Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association (MPPOA) is the largest association representing public safety professionals in the State of Minnesota.
“The endorsement from Minnesota’s largest public safety and police association is one of the great honors of my life,” said Schultz. “As Minnesota’s next Attorney General, I will work together with law enforcement and make sure they have the tools and funding they need to keep us safe. We will partner to end the crime and violence epidemic crippling our state.”
“We are pleased to endorse Jim Schultz as Minnesota’s next Attorney General. With police officers under attack in Minnesota, we need a levelheaded voice in the Attorney General’s Office,” said MPPOA Executive Director Brian Peters. “Extremist activists who seek to defund the police and pander to criminals shouldn’t be in statewide office.”
“Jim Schultz is the candidate law enforcement is proud to support, the best candidate to address rising crime in the Twin Cities, and the best candidate to beat Keith Ellison,” concluded Peters.
